Remarkable Design and Wine…….

A few weeks ago we spent a lovely evening at a Lido Shores neighbor’s wine tasting party. One of the guests, architect Peter Shaw, designed the home when he worked for Jonathan Parks Architects. The spectacular entrance staircase is a concrete marvel. We hired the subcontractor, D and D Concrete Construction, for our home after we saw the stair under construction – one of the best decisions we made … Continue reading Remarkable Design and Wine…….

A better “group” wine………

I’ve attended way too many events where no thought beyond price was given to the wine being served aside from having the word “wine” on the bottle.  More often than not, I would find myself declining to take a glass or regretting that I took one. To begin the journey, we were poured two wines from the appellation of  Rías Baxias … Continue reading Wine and food designed to love……..

A shop in Gulf Gate has become a great replacement.  Many of you already shop here –  thewinetobuy.com.  … Continue reading In our own backyard…………

DC’s Zaytinya…..

We had an exceptional experience at this restaurant in DC a couple years ago. I remember my immediate impression upon arriving in the restaurant was not wonderful.  It was crowded and rather loud but once seated and into reading the menu it became quite comfortable, interesting and totally fun.  We all agreed we’d go back in an instant.  There were so many intriguing items … Continue reading DC’s Zaytinya…..
