Paso Wines in Healdsburg

Tucked away in Bacchus Landing is a unique tasting room –13th & Third. This boutique winery produces their Rhone style wines in Paso Robles but their tasting room is here in Healdsburg.

Gregg Rothenberg and wife Julie are the passion behind the wine. They’re New Yorkers who met on 13th & Third in the city, married, and made the move to California to follow their passion.

The tasting room is shared with two other small boutique wineries and offers both inside and outside tastings. It’s comfortable, relaxing and easy to spend time at.

Their winemaker is Don Burns who is assistant winemaker to Justin Smith at Saxum, one of our very favorite Paso Robles wineries specializing in Rhone varietals. Burns also makes his own wines under the label of Turtle Rock Vineyards.

Their wine labels are designed by New York street artists. The current label’s subject matter is personal – portraits of family members. If you visit Gregg will happily pass along the marvelous stories behind each.

We love a good Rhone wine and 13th & Third has some excellent ones. We especially liked the 2020 Lily and the 2019 NMR. Simply great blends!

Thank you so much Gregg! It was wonderful to meet you and your wines!

Salud!

As a side note – Julie Rothberg has just founded the Odyssey Wine Academy offering WSET certified wine courses at Bacchus Landing.
