Proceeds raised through Art of Dessert benefit the Center’s Education and Community Engagement programs throughout the year, including new online tools and educational experiences for students, teachers, and parents, free and discounted tickets for low-income and at-risk students to educational matinees, musical instruments loaned free of charge to those who can’t afford to buy or rent them, arts-integrated classroom instruction by LBC teaching artists, and professional development courses for teachers.  Since its inception in 2003, Art of Dessert has generated more than $4 million and helped to provide the enrichment of the arts to over 440,000 children.
