An invitation for a wine tasting set up by our friend Christopher is never to be turned down. He has a knack for arranging tastings at some of the most unique and sought after wineries.

Radio-Coteau does not have a formal tasting room and tasting requires an appointment. It’s a small, 4800 case production, bio-diverse winery stewarded by owner and winemaker Eric Sussman.

Radio-Coteau owns a 42 acre vineyard near Occidental which practices biodynamic farming. About 15% of Radio-Coteau’s wine is made from the estate vineyard grapes, and the remainder from a variety of vineyards.

We met at their production facility in Sebastopol and gathered outside at a farm table amid the busy crush in September.

Stephanie, who wears multiple hats, as I would guess many who work here do, was our host for the tasting. She was fantastic, engaging, and a great educator.

I urge you to visit Radio-Coteau’s website. It is one of the most informative I’ve experienced. And……..if you’re planning a visit to Sonoma’s Wine Country consider making an appointment with Stephanie!
Thank you Eric for taking time to meet with us and for pulling out yet another wine for us to experience!
Salud!
